Jay Allen Dye

1981 - 2006

Jay Allen Dye, 24 of 214 E. Randolph St., in Havana died at 11:45 am Fri. May 19, 2006 in the emergency room of Mason District Hospital in Havana. He was born Sept. 3, 1981 the son of Allen and Kathy Layton Dye. He married Danielle Trione June 21, 2003 in Havana and she survives. His parents also survive of Havana.

In addition he is survived by twins, Taylor and Hunter who live at home; a sister Katie of Havana; grandmother, Kathryn Layton Towery of Havana, grandfather, Buck Dye of Maples Mill, IL and his great grandmother, Mary Bailey of Bath, IL. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Jay was a member of the Central Christian Church of Havana, an avid hunter and fisherman, he coached T-ball and worked part time as a DJ. He loved fishing with his family.

He worked as a well technician and did commercial well drilling. He was a 2000 graduate of Havana High School.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the Central Christian Church in Havana conducted by Rev. Dennis Steckley. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 pm Monday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Following services cremation rites will be accorded and the family will have a private interment of the cremains in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Memorial Contributions may be made to a trust fund for his children c/o THE National Bank in Havana.
