Norma Jean Glick 1925 - 2010
Norma Jean Glick, 84, of Chandlerville, passed away at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. She was born August 13, 1925 in Mason County to Ira and Margaret (Siltman) Waddell. She married Arthur W. Glick on June 18, 1944 in Colorado Springs, CO. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2002. Mrs. Glick is survived by one son, David (Penny) Glick of Chandlerville, three grandchildren, Rebecca (Bart) Bailey, Jacob (Tracie) Glick and Sarah (Chris) Stone as well as seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Urbar Waddell. Jean worked in a munitions factory at Illiopolis during WWII. She also worked with her husband on the farm and with their Hereford cattle herd until moving to town in 1974. She was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church as well as the Chandlerville American Legion Auxiliary, Cass County Mental Health Board and Cass County Home Extension. Funeral services will be held at the Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Chandlerville Cemetery. Pastor Judy Vidakovich will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chandlerville Cemetery or Chandlerville American Legion Post. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
