Jean A. Grim
1927-2006
Jean A. Grim, 78, of Easton died at 10:14 p.m.Sunday, May 21, 2006 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born July 23, 1927, in Havana, IL to Russell and Flora (Foster) Kingen. She married Walter Junior Grim in Havana on June 22, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2000.
Mrs. Grim is survived by four sons: Ronald (Sharon) Grim of Lansing, MI, Jerry (Wendy) Grim of Delavan, IL, Steve (Beth) Grim of Easton, IL and Philip Grim of Easton, IL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and one sister Jackie Stockham of Havana. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister, Joyce Blakely.
Mrs. Grim was a member of the Central Christian Church in Havana, and a long time member of the Easton Women’s Club. She had worked for Rockford Life Insurance Company, the Havana Telephone Company and was a W.T. Rawleigh Distributor. She also cooked for the Havana Rotary Club for many years.
Funeral services for Mrs. Grim will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral at Mason City Cemetery.
