Jeffrey A. Bernhardt

1963 - 2006

Jeffery A. Bernhardt, 43, of San Jose died, Friday May 12, 2006 at 4:12 p.m. at Gibson  City Area Hospital. He was born February 18, 1963 in Springfield, IL to Earl and Marilyn (Brown) Bernhardt.

He is survived by two sons: Zach and Chris Bernhardt and one daughter Haley Bernhardt, all of Mason City, three sisters: Candace (Charlie) Cartwright of Auburn, IL, Melody Jarmey of Antioch, IL, Tabitha Bernhardt of Springfield, IL and one brother Richard Bernhardt of Springfield, IL. Also surviving is his fiancée Amy Cunningham of San Jose, maternal grandfather George Brown of Lake KaHo, IL, two aunts: Carolyn Ray of New Port Richie, FL and Laura (Randy) Jasmon, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of the San Jose United Methodist Church and was an EMT and firefighter for the San Jose Fire and Rescue Squad for the past fifteen years. He was a truck driver, most recently driving for ICI Midwest Trucking Co.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, also at the funeral home. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Rev. Stephen King will officiate.
