Jerry Lee Richardson 1938 - 2008
Jerry L. Richardson, 69, of Bath, passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield at 9:30 a.m. on February 3, 2008. He was born September 3, 1938 in Easton, IL to James H. and Lida (Creason) Richardson. He married Donna Banks of Maricopa, AZ. She preceded him in death. Surviving are two sons, Ryan and Lee of Arizona and one daughter, Lisa of Arizona; three Brothers, Wayne (Sharon) Richardson of Beardstown, Bob (Karol) Richardson of Kenny, IL and Jim Jr. (Anna) Richardson of Bath; two sisters, Barbara (Ernie) Richardson of Bath and Connie Danner of DuQuion, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Dicky and Larry. He graduated in 1959 from Balyki High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Bath Baptist Church. He worked as a truck driver in the copper mines in Arizona before moving back to Illinois, where he worked at Discount Sales. Jerry enjoyed fishing, sports and his cats. A memorial service will be held at his church on February 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation one half hour prior to the services. Burial of cremains will follow the services at Bath Cemetery. Rev. Aaron Blakely will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bath Baptist Church, Pets Without Parents or to his family to help pay for expenses.
