Jessie Johnson Young

(1912-2007)

Jessie Johnson Young, 95 of Mason City died at 8:00am, Friday, December 14, 2007 at her residence.  She was born September 1, 1912 the daughter of Perk and Alma (Harmon) Johnson.  She married Glenn Young November 15, 1942 at the Baptist Church in Mason City, he preceded her in death. 

Survivors are one son: John (Sharon Lee) Young of Princeton; two granddaughters: Stacy (David) Brown, Karen Young; one great-grandson: Anderson Jax Brown.  She is preceded in death by four sisters. 

Mrs. Young graduated from Mason City High School, a member of the Mason City Baptist Church where she was very active.  She was a member of DAR and a Poetry writer. 

Services will be 11:00am Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the Hurley Funeral Home, visitation will from 9:30 to 11:00 before the service, Curt McCallister will officiate.  Burial will be at Mason City Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be left to Hudelson Baptist Children’s Home of Centralia.  Hurley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
