Bath, IL - Jewell L. Moore, 87, of Bath, IL died at 11:27 am Wed., March 1, 2006 at the Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville, IL. He was born Feb. 18, 1919 the son of Edgar C. and Hetta Parrott Moore. He married Flavilla Seward Nov. 12, 1936 in Lewistown, IL she preceded him in death Jan. 31, 1982. He later married Donna Bucy and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Edgar (Noretta) Moore of Dallas, TX and Trevor (Kim) Moore of Pinkneyville, IL. Four step children also survive along with six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. \

Mr. Moore formerly owned and operated Moore’s Shell Station in Bath, was for former mayor of Bath and was a member of the Chandlerville Lodge AF & AM. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army.

Services will be held at 10:00 am Sat. March 4, 2006 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with burial in the Bath Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm Friday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s.
