Joanne K. Harris

(1933-2005)

Joanne K. Harris of Mason City, formerly of Pekin, died 9:12 P.M. Sunday August 7, 2005 at Mason City Area Nursing Home.  She was born July 14, 1933 to Ray and Edna McCoy in Green Valley, Illinois.  She married Dene Harris in Marquand, Missouri.  He died May 25, 2003. 

Survivors include one sister: Maxine Gore of Iowa, 2 Sister-in-Laws: Daisy Marcum and Nadine Anderson, both of Mason City: Both of these ladies were caregivers to Mrs. Harris.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers and one infant daughter. 

Mrs. Harris was a homemaker.

Graveside services and burial for Mrs. Harris were held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at Mason City Cemetery,  Nash Shawgo officiated.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mason City Area Nursing Home.
