John "Buck" Wahlsmith, Jr.

John “Buck” Wahlsmith, Jr., 56, of Greenview, died November 7, 2008 at 3:09 pm at his residence. He was born on June 29, 1952 in Jacksonville to John M., Sr. and Lois Lawson Wahlsmith. He married Rose Marie Woolsey in April 1973.

  He is survived by a son, John (companion, Jamie Morris) Wahlsmith III of Greenview; mother-in-law, Rosezella Woolsey of Salisbury; two grandchildren, Amber and Chance Wahlsmith; a sister, Grace Warmouth of Springfield; and three step brothers, Bob (Sue) Lawson, Sam Lawson, and Les Lawson all of Springfield.

  His wife, Rose Marie Wahlsmith; and a sister preceded him in death.

  Mr. Wahlsmith had worked as a truck driver for P.H. Braughton & Sons in Springfield.

  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

  Cremation rites have been accorded.
