John Leininger

(1964-2005)

John Lynn Leininger of Mason City, IL died Sunday, April 3, 2005 in Tazewell County.  He was born January 8, 1964 in Lincoln, IL to Harold and Mary Lou (Sanderson) Leininger. 

Mr. Leininger was employed at Morton Buildings in Morton, IL doing construction.  He was also a member of the Army National Guard Reserves. 

Survivors include his mother: Mary Lou Leininger of Mason City, companion: Rachel Manuel, the mother of his children; two sons: Nova and Garrett Leininger both of Mason City; and two sisters: Teresa (Dave) Scott of Marathon, FL. and Penny (Gary) Fink of Lincoln, IL.  He was preceded in death by his father, two uncles, and one cousin. 

Services for Mr. Leininger were held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City, IL.  Burial was in Mason City Cemetery with Nash Shawgo officiating.  Visitation was one hour prior to the services.  Memorial Contributions have been made to an education fund for his sons through the 1st State Bank of Mason City.
