Dale Wilson "John" Brennan 1937 - 2008
Dale W. “John” Brennan, 71, of Havana, passed away at his home at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. He was born in Havana on March 13, 1937 to William and Ada (O’Grady) Brennan. He married Judy Curless on November 8, 1959 in Bluff City, IL. Mr. Brennan is survived by his wife Judy of Havana and daughter Dalena Brennan of Springfield. Also surviving is one son Dal of Utah and one aunt Orlina Johnson of Havana. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Brennan was a member of the Havana Church of Christ. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and loved his family. He worked in construction and was a member of the Laborers International Union. He had served in the U.S. Air Force. Funeral services will be held at the Havana Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2008 with Wayne and Paul Curless officiating. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana with Rev. Bill Boyce officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, April 11, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
