John Lee Curry

1929 - 2010

John Lee Curry, 80, of Topeka, passed away at his home at 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. He was born in Rock Island, IL on May 29, 1929. He married Emma Joanne Miller and she preceded him in death on June 23, 2006.

Mr. Curry is survived by three children, Jack L. Curry of Morton, Beverly Bauman of Chicago and Johnny Waremburg of Alabaster, AL as well as two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Curry served in the US Army during the Korean War. He had most recently worked for Sisler Seeds. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #6408 in Havana.

Cremation rites have been accorded and burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.

Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
