John Lawrence Stadsholt, 18, of Green Valley died at 7:10 a.m., June 18, 2006, 1/4 mile South of Townline Rd. on Towerline Rd. in Tazewell County, IL. He was born to Randy L. and Lori D. (Banister) Stadsholt on July 28, 1987 in Springfield, IL

John is survived by his parents of Green Valley, one sister Jade Ashley Stadsholt of Green Valley, paternal grandmother Fern E. Stadsholt of Green Valley, and maternal grandparents Lawrence William and Betty Banister of Mason City, IL. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather John F. Stadsholt.

He was a member of the Mason City Assembly of God. He was a 2006 graduate of Midwest Central High School in Manito, where he had played on the basketball team his freshman and sophomore years. John had also worked at Big Lots in Pekin for the past two years.

Funeral services will be held for John at the Mason City Assembly of God on Friday, June 23, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Green Valley Cemetery. Rev. James Sprinkel and Rev. Jason Sprinkel will officiate.  Visitation will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City on Thursday, June 22, from 4-8 p.m.
