Joseph Earl Painter

Joseph Earl Painter age 72 of Havana, Illinois, died on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at
4:55 a.m. at the Mason District Hospital in
Havana. He was born December 18,
1937, the son of Austin & Ruth (Lilly) Painter. He was married to Mildred
Noel,September 22, 1956 at the
Parsonage of the Nazarene Church in Havana,
Illinois, she survives. He was a member of the Nazarene Faith.

Joe had worked for 42 years and 10 months at Caterpillar Tractor Company in
Mapleton, Illinois as a Foundry Worker. He retired on August 3, 1998. He had
also owned and operated Joe’s Septic Service in Havana, Illinois for 40 years.

The survivors include four sons, Larry Painter of Chilicothe, Illinois, Joseph
(Julie) Painter of
San Antonio, Texas, Derrick Painter of Havana, Illinois, and
a
son William Painter of Rhode Island. Also surviving are three daughters.
Loretta (Jim ) Greer of Bakersfield, California, Leann Painter of Havana,
Illinois, and Julie (Ben) Percy of Illinois.

Other survivors include six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Two
brothers, Robert and Richard Painter, and one sister, Betty Stiltz all of
Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother and one
sister.

A Memorial Service will be held
on Friday, May 13th, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the
Nazarene Church of Havana, Illinois, with one hour of visitation prior to the
service time, also at the Church The Services will be conducted by Pastor Jim
Buchanan and Rev. Sue Roat .
