Joseph L. Victor 1934 - 2008 Joseph L. Victor, 73, of Springfield, formerly of Petersburg, passed away at 7:58 am on Sunday, January 13, 2008. Mr. Victor was born May 9, 1934 to Thomas E. and Vernetta Alice Boyer Victor in Mechanicsburg, Illinois. He married Erma Jean Koss in Springfield in 1965. Joseph was a self employed truck driver and a member of the Teamsters. He also was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church of Petersburg. He is survived by his son, Joseph A. (wife LuAnn) Victor of Tuscola; a step son, Richard Jarvis of Petersburg; two sisters, Bonnie A. (husband Robert) Farley of Chatham and Nita F. (husband Ed) Arington of Springfield; and two grandchildren, Erin and Carrie Victor, both of Arcola. He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers, Robert E. and Louis E. Victor. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Calvary Cemetery in Petersburg. Visitation will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg from 10:00 to 11:00 am just before the service. Father Don Knuffman will be officiating.
