Havana, IL - Jules Russell "Red" Hightower, 87, of 1014 Ward in Port Huron, Michigan died at 3:00 am April 25th at the Port Huron Hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1918 in Warren, AR the son of Norwood and Gwendolyn Burnett Hightower. He married Marjorie Gladys Wiggins and she preceded him in death. After her death he lived in Port Huron with his companion, Gladys Waun, and her family.

He is survived by two daughters, Sherri Santanna of Havana, IL and Judy Hightower of Pekin, IL, three grandchildren, Shiloh Santanna, Jesse Tribbett and Justin Parks. Also surviving is one sister, Mary Ella Moss of Warren, AR and one brother, Troy Hightower of Rogers, AR.

He was a certified welder and pipefitter, and had worked on most of the nuclear power plants in the United States. He also worked as an inspector on much of the welding in power plants. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII.

Services will be held on Tues., May 2, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose, IL
