Juliann Canady
(1960-2008)

Juliann Canady, 48, of Petersburg, died on Thursday,
November 20, 2008 at 5:39 p.m. at Sunny Acres Home. She was born on October 6,
1960 in Springfield to Raymond and Alia Anna Sewell Montgomery.
She is survived by two sons, Adam Robert Canady of
Petersburg, and Cory Allen Canady of Riverton; three daughters, Alyssa Anna
Canady, Jamie Mae Canady, and Grace McKenzie Canady all of Petersburg; her
parents, Raymond and Alia Montgomery of Petersburg; two brothers, Paul (Marilyn)
and daughter, Ellie Montgomery, and Bill (Kathy) Montgomery all of Petersburg;
one sister, Nanette Bess and children Kristen, and Brant Bess of Pittsfield; one
brother-in-law, Steve Urish of Elkart and his children, Katie (Craig) Heisner of
Kirkwood, MO, and Chris Urish of Mt. Pulaski; one grandson, Kaden Michael Canady;
two uncles, Howard Montgomery of Petersburg, and Ken (Jane) Montgomery of
Macomb; and two aunts, Mary Ella Allen of Petersburg and Dorothy (George) King
of Springfield.
One sister, Cathy Urish, preceded her in death.
She graduated in 1978 from PORTA High School. She then attended Illinois College in Jacksonville where she became a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Chautauqua Board of Directors. She was an avid reader and loved knitting and music.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church in Petersburg. Rev. Julie Peterson will be officiating. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home on Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm and a half hour before the funeral service at Central Presbyterian Church on Monday.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
