Karen Joy Barbour (1938-2005) Karen Joy Barbour, 67, of San Jose, died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born May 7, 1938 to Robert and Thelma (Cool) Wilkie in Lake Village, Indiana. She married Robert T. Barbour on February 10, 1967 in Lake Village, Indiana. Surviving are her husband Robert of San Jose; three sons: Robert Bales of San Jose; Thomas (Renae) Barbour of Brookston, IN; Matthew (Melissa) Barbour of Creve Coeur, IL; one daughter, Dianna (Joseph) Nolan of San Jose; one granddaughter Teage Nichole of San Jose and two grandsons, Brice and Andrew Barbour of Brookston, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Michael Andrew Barbour. She was a member of the San Jose Christian Church. She worked for the Better Coil and Transformer Company in Goodland, IN for many years. More recently, she worked for the San Jose grocery store, Peg’s Corner and Casey’s in San Jose. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2005. Rev. Jon Hamilton will officiate. Memorials may be made to the San Jose Rescue Squad. Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose is in charge of arrangements. |
