Karl Henry Schnoor (1924-2009) Karl Henry Schnoor, 84, of Mason City, died at 11:30am on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born on December 23, 1924 the son of Gottfried and Charlotte (Rolfs) Schnoor in rural Greenview. He married Rebecca Jane Hall on August 26, 1951 in Greenview, she survives. Mr. Schnoor is also survived by four sons: Karl David (Tammy) Schnoor of Alamosa, CO, Ronald (Barb) Schnoor of Easton, Daniel (Natalie) Schnoor of Forest City, Joe (Janet) Schnoor of Greenview; one daughter: Karla (Terry) Malott of Lewistown; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Mr. Schnoor served in the United States Army in 1949. He was stationed in Kentucky and North Carolina. He farmed around the Mason City area and also worked at Wheeling Corrugated in Havana from 1966 to 1980. Services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City, Pastor John Worsham will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview. Memorials may be left to the Mason City Area Nursing Home-Nurses and Nurses Aides. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City s in charge of arrangements.
