Kenneth Eugene Hardy 1945 - 2008
Kenneth Eugene Hardy, 63, of Bath passed away at his home at 12:06 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2008. He was born September 29, 1945 in Easton, IL to Leonard and Elsie (Hughes) Hardy. He married Helen Ann Lacey on December 25, 1963 in Bath. Mr. Hardy is survived by his wife Helen Ann of Bath, one daughter: Dawn (Eldon) Burch of Springfield, one son: Tony (Lori) Hardy of Williamsville, three granddaughters: Krista and Taylor Hardy of Williamsville and Lydia Burch of Springfield. Also surviving are his sister Eva Walker of Kilbourne and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hardy was a member of the Kilbourne Methodist Church, Ducks Unlimited, National Turkey Federation and the National Rifle Association. He had worked as the manager of the Circle City Duck Club for the past 37 years. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in Mapleton in 1993 after 30 years. Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Bath Cemetery. Rev. Dean Wright will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois, Graham Hospice, P.K. U.
