Kent Wayne "Butch" Lowe

Kent Wayne “Butch” Lowe, 70, of Havana, passed away in Bath, IL at 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010. He was born, February 1, 1940 in Havana, to Harold and Margaret (Durdy) Lowe. He married Patricia A. Keasey on May 25, 1985. She survives.
Mr. Lowe is survived by his wife, Pat, of Havana, one daughter, Jaime Lowe of Pekin, step-son Brian Melton, of Havana, step-daughter, Marilyn Melton of Lakemoor, IL, and one sister, Janis McFarlin of Havana. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, James McFarlin.
Mr. Lowe was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Havana. He was also was a member of Masonic Lodge #88, in Havana for the past 43 years. He worked most of his life in transportation. He retired from Star Trucking and had previously worked for JD Streett Co. for 23 years. Currently he was employed as a bus driver for the Havana School District.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2010 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Burial will follow the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Fr. James Fedosuk will officiate.
