Lawrence Trusty, 91, formerly of Mason City died at 8:10am on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Havana Health Care in Havana.  He was born on October 17, 1919 the son of Jasper and Fannie (Loyd) Trusty in Republic, MO.  He married Bernadine Hulihan, she preceded him in death.

Survivors are two sisters: Elizabeth Gillespie of Kentucky and Frances Werges of Missouri; and two nieces: Cheryl Gillespie and Sandra McCain; and one nephew: Dean Werges.

Mr. Trusty served in both the United States Navy and Army.  He was a member of the St Mary’s Catholic Church.  Lawrence worked for Bernie’s Floor Sanding as a floor sander and maintenance man. 

Cremation rites have been accorded, burial of ashes will be at a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic in Manchester, Iowa.  Memorials can be left to Susan B. Coleman-Breast Cancer Fund or Alzheimer's Association.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
