Larry L. Aldrich

(1950-2010)

Larry L. Aldrich, 59 of Mason City passed peacefully after a very brave battle against cancer on November 12, 2010 at 9:45am, At St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  He was born on December 7, 1950 the son of Alice and Leonard Aldrich. 

Larry is survived by his wife of 33years, Erin (Tripp) Aldrich, his mother Alice, daughter Tara, grandson Chase, brother-in-law, Bob Tripp  and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; his mother and father in law, Wayne and Sarah Tripp, sisters in law, Becky (Phil) Novak, Brenda Decanter and Carolyn Tripp. 

Larry is preceded in death by his father, one sister, a granddaughter, maternal and paternal grandparents. 

Larry graduated from Mason City High School in 1968, served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged.  He worked for General Dynamics for 30 years.  After retirement he lived his life lovingly with his wife Erin and his treasured pets. 

A memorial service will begin at 10:30am on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Hurley Funeral Home, Nash Shawgo will officiate at 12:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aldrich family to assist in medical expenses in care of the Mason City National Bank.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
