Seward, 60, of rural
Havana passed away at 11:32 pm Sat. Dec. 23, 2006
at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in
Peoria . He was born Sept. 10, 1946 in
Canton , IL the son of James and Bessie Brewer
Seward. He married Patricia Shoemaker July 4, 1976 in
Bushnell , IL and she survives.
Mr. Seward was a member
of the
Havana Church of the Nazarene, the Lions Club in
Mendon , IL , a Boy Scout Leader in Adams County
, a Little League Coach and Umpire in
Havana and a member of the
Missouri Fox Trotters Association. He was a US
Marine Veteran serving in
Viet Nam .
He is survived by four
sons, Kenneth and Scott (Jessica) Seward both of
Havana ; James and Ronnie Seward of Lewistown,
one daughter, Larissa (Jeff) Seward-Otey of
Havana , eight grandchildren and one great
granddaughter. Also surviving are two sisters, Betty
Thum of
Canton , IL and Bonnie (Harold) Berry of
Arizona and one brother, Donald Seward of
Canton , IL . He was preceded in death by one
brother, Russell and one sister, Barb.
Services will be held
at 11:00 am Thurs., Dec. 28, 2006 at the
Havana Church of the Nazarene conducted by Rev.
Troy Horne. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm
Wed. At the Hurley Funeral Home in
Havana . Memorial Contributions may be made to
the Mason District Hospital or the
Havana Church of the Nazarene. Online condolences
