Larry Joe Smith

1944 - 2010

Larry Joe Smith, 65, of Havana, passed away at his home at 11:22 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2010. He was born December 29, 1944 in Canton, IL to Lloyd L. and Hazel (Copeland) Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his mother, Hazel Long, of Hermitage, MO, three sons, Scott Smith, Shawn Smith and Steve Smith, all of Sparta, IL one daughter, Bernetta Smith of Peoria, six grandchildren, one brother and one sister. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.

Mr. Smith had worked for Caterpillar Inc. and International Harvester. He served in the US Navy from 1962 until 1966.

Cremation rites have been accorded and family will receive friends, Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Havana Assembly of God from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
