Laurena Ann Wright of Madison, WI, formerly of Havana, IL died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Oakwood Village in Madison, WI. She was born July 26, 1917 to Frederick and Anna (Kolves) Zeeck in Bath, IL. She married Cecil Harbert Wright on June 11, 1941 in Peoria, IL. He died May 7, 1973.
Survivors include one daughter: Mrs. Robert (Linda Ellen) Scholfield of Madison, Wisconsin; 4 grandchildren: Bob Scholfield, Jonathon Logsdon, Jennifer Kosbau, and Amanda Logsdon 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son: Cecil Harvey Wright; two brothers: August and Herbert Zeeck; 3 sisters: Henrietta Tippey, Alvena Richardson, and Lola Weese.
During WWII Mrs. Wright was employed at Caterpillar in Peoria, IL. Later she opened a hair salon in her home while being a homemaker. For 15 years she worked as a health care worker at the state school in Dixon, IL.
Services for Mrs. Wright will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2005 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, IL. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery with the Pastor Brian Lesemann officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Monday.
