Havana, IL - Leah A. Haley, 92, of 220 W. Franklin St., Havana, IL died at 12:17 am Mon. March 27, 2006 at her residence. She was born May 18, 1913 at Mt. Auburn, IL the daughter of Charles and Alice Williams Augur. She married Lloyd J. Haley Sept. 25, 1935 in Mt. Auburn and he preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1986.

Mrs. Haley is survived by two sons, Grant (Vicki) Haley of Havana and Charles (JoAnn) Haley of Wheaton, IL. Seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and one great granddaughter.

She was an avid quilter and a quilting group in the Highland Community Church of which she is a member. She taught elementary school in Collinsville from 1952 until 1966.

Services will be held Sunday, April 2, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Havana conducted by Revs. Taylor Haley, Bill Haley and Philip Lewis. Visitation will be held on Sat. from 5 until 7 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Intombment will be held on Monday April 3 at 1:00 pm at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Belleville. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mason District Hospital in Havana or the Havna Public Library District.
