Lela I. Wise (1921-2007)
Lela Ilean Wise, 86 of Mason City died at 4:50am Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born February 28, 1921 the daughter of William Henry and Easter Victoria (Jones) Traylor in Coffeen, IL. She married Charley Wise November 9, 1945 in Reno, NV. He precedes her in death.
Survivors are one sister: Sharon Altevogt of Witt, IL, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Mrs. Wise worked for Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg as a Nurses Aide for 10 years.
Services will be at 3:00pm, Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the Pontiac Cemetery, rural Chandlerville; Nash Shawgo will officiate. Visitation will be from 1-2 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
