Leonard "Lenny" Leon Elrod (1923-2005) Leonard "Lenny" Leon Elrod, of Mason City, died 3:26 p.m. September 14, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born January 26, 1923 to Finas Len and Nora (Farmer) Elrod. He married Pauline Lewis November 18, 1947 in Mason City, Illinois. She died February 22, 2002. Survivors include: One Son, Rick Lynn (Terrie) Elrod of Easton, 2 Daughters, Sandra Hagen of Mason City and Brenda (Danny) Hagen of Kansa City, MO., One Sister, Dorothy Parker of Symsonia, KY., 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Elrod served in the Army 1942-1946 in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Mason City Legion Post #496 and the 1st Baptist Church in Mason City. Mr. Elrod owned Elrod Autobody from 1960 until his retirement. Funeral Services for Mr. Elrod will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Hurley Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:00 until time of services. The Reverend H. Curtis McCallister will be officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the 1st Baptist Church of Mason City. |
