Lillie J. Smith, 70, of Tallula, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Capitol Care Center in Springfield. She was born on December 14, 1939 in Tallula to Frank and Hattie Colson Megredy. She married Jackie Smith in Tallula on November 23, 1958,

She is survived by a son, Grady (Susie) Smith of Oakford; two daughters, Gailyn (Jeff) Hudson of Dousman, WI, and Kristi (Steve) White of Springfield; one brother, Walter Megredy of Tallula; six grandchildren, Garrett Hudson, Samantha Smith, Ethan Hudson, Rachael Hudson, Jacob Smith, and Zachary Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, parents, four brothers, and one sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg. She enjoyed playing piano & had played for many organizations throughout her life in Menard County. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, and wife.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23, 1010 at 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Petersburg.. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral services. Burial will be in Farmer’s Point Cemetery in Tallula.
