Linda Smith

(1946 - 2006)

Linda Smith, 58, of Petersburg, died February 22, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on September 2, 1947 to Gilbert and Gladys Squires Engel. She married Billy Smith on April 20, 1967. He survives.

She is survived by her husband, Billy of Petersburg; two sons, Billy (Kristi) Smith, and Timothy Smith, both of Petersburg; one daughter, Jennifer Smith of Petersburg; three grandchildren; three brothers, James Dale Engel of Petersburg, John Engel of Guerneville, CA, Dick Engel of Chester, IL; and one sister Keri (Rodney) Mitchell of Snowflake, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Petersburg. She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Petersburg. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Pastor Thomas Eggley will be officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg.
