Linda Lee Hainline

1946 - 2008

Linda Lee Hainline, 61, of Havana died at 5 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2008 at her home.  She was born September 14, 1946 in Hillsboro to Ora Franklin Honnies and Miriam Elaine Martin Honnies. She married James Curtis Hainline on July 12, 1969 in Raymond, IL. He survives. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie.

     Surviving are her husband James, one daughter Diane Snider (Ted), four grandchildren: Cody McGinnis and Isaac, Ben, and Eve Snider, and two brothers, John Honnies of Gold Hill, OR and Larry Honnies of Raymond, IL.

     She received her Bachelors degree and certificate in Elementary Education in 1968 from Illinois State University. She taught kindergarten, third grade, and fifth grade in Havana. For many years she cared for the elderly in their homes and worked until 2007.

     She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Havana and taught Sunday School classes for many years. She was dedicated to the visiting teaching program of the church.

     All services will be held on Thursday, September 11 at Hurley’s Funeral Home in Havana. Visitation will be at 10:00 am. Funeral will be at 11:00 am. A luncheon will be from 12:00 – 2:00 pm, followed by burial services at 3:30 pm at Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville, IL. President John Dilsaver will officiate.

     Memorials may be made to Graham Hospice.
