Linda Jane Korte

Linda Jane Korte, 66 of Greenview died Sunday, July 3, 2011 in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Linda was born on May 5, 1945 in Rushville to Kenneth and Marjorie (Danner) Tribbey. She married Merle Korte.

Linda is survived by her mother, son John (Heather) Korte, grandson Conner Korte, sister Carol (Bernard) Marvel and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.

Linda was a teacher at Greenview School for 38 years. She graduated from Western Illinois University with a M.A. in Education. She loved spending time with her grandson Conner. Linda was an avid collector and enjoyed doing many kinds of crafts.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview. Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home with Rev. Blake Canterbury officiating. Burial in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Arenzville, IL at 2:30 p.m. Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview is in charge of arrangements.
