Lisa Pherigo
(1964-2005)
Lisa A. Pherigo of Mason City, died 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at OSF-St. Francis, Peoria. She was born April 10, 1964 to Eldridge and Joyce (Hailey) Canada. She married Scott B. Pherigo on June 26, 1982 in Forest City, IL.
Survivors include her husband, parents, two sons: Bradley Pherigo of Petersburg, IL and Benjamin Pherigo of Mason City (at home); two daughters: Kayla and Mary Pherigo of Mason City (at home); granddaughter Abby Pherigo of New Holland, brother William E. (Lori) Canada of Manito; sister Lori (husband, Jim) Wolfe of Manito; maternal grandmother Lola Hailey of Manito; 23 nieces and nephews; and 13 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, paternal grandfather and grandmother.
Mrs. Pherigo was a bus driver for the Illini Central School District for the past 10 years. She was a 4-H leader of the Hilltop 4-H group, a member of the Ladies Ducks Unlimited, and a scorekeeper for the Illini Central Track Team.
Services for Mrs. Pherigo will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. The Rev. Bill Boyce will be officiating with burial in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito, IL. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday June 17, 2005 at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or an Educational Fund for the children through the 1st State Bank of Mason City.
