Loretta Klauzer

(1921-2010)

Loretta “Durall” Klauzer, 89, of Oakford, died at 6:30 am, Monday, November 1, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born February 4, 1921 to Samuel and Alberta Ritzel Lynn. She married Clifford Klauzer on September 15, 1943 and he survives.

 

 Also surviving are seven children, Loretta Beams of Tallula, Connie (Mike) Blair of Mesa, AZ, Ellen (Kirby) Cottrell of Chandlerville, Diana (Terry) Howerter of Parker, CO, Lottie (Dave) Mudd of Tallula, Grace Ann (Tom) Robinson of Oakford, and Clifford (Clara) Klauzer of Tallula; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Whitehead of Oakford, Nancy (Dick) Schafer of Washington, IL, and Betty (Bob) Lynn of Kilbourne; two brothers, Jerry (Donna) Lynn of Oakford and Joe (Valerie) Lynn of Washington, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Her parents; one sister, Patsy Smith; three brothers, Sam, Mike, and Pat Lynn; and one grandson, Bret Bahl, preceded her in death.

 

Loretta was a lifetime member of the Oakford United Methodist Church and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Tallula. She worked for Lounsberry Gardens and Tom’s Market, she also volunteered at the Thrift Shop in Petersburg. She enjoyed ceramics, garage sales, antiques and quilting. Her family was her life.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 10:00 am also at the funeral home. Pastor Bob Driggers will be officiating. Burial will be in Oakford Cemetery.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Tallula.
