Lucille Osborne (1914-2008)
Lucille “Lucy” Osborne, 94, of Mason City passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home in Mason City, Illinois. Lucy was born in Alton, Illinois on March 10, 1914 to Joseph and Cordia Ohley. She married Robert L. Osborne, who preceded her in death. Lucille we be remembered for years in the food service business at the Leland Hotel in Springfield, The Tropics in Lincoln, and Van Tines Feed Company in Mason City to name a few. Her patrons always enjoyed her warm and friendly spirit. She spent most of her retirement years in California, before returning to Illinois. She is survived by her son, Robert P. (wife, Carol) Osborne, grandson, Dr. Kraig (wife, Tonya) Osborne of Springfield; granddaughter Kelly Cappelli of Scottsdale, AZ; great-grandchildren, Kraig Osbornes Jr., Kailey Osborne, Lea Cappelli; niece Betty (husband, Porter) Garrison and her family of Mason City, Illinois and Texas and nephews Donald and Charles Johnston of California, her sisters, Margaret Johnston and Mildred Sink, her nieces De Ette Glascock and Donna Llewelwyn preceded her in death. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11:00am at the Mason City Cemetery. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
