Lyle Russell Beams

(1935-2010)

Lyle Russell Beams, 75 of Mason City died at 6:05 pm on June 6, 2010 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home.  He was born on April 5, 1935 in Mason City the son of Ben and Edna (Close) Beams.  

Mr. Beams is survived by his companion, Beverly D. Lay. 

Mr. Beams worked for Funks Seeds as a Seed Salesman, in Mason City.  He was an avid girl’s basketball fan, race fan and Chicago Cubs baseball fan.

Services will be at 11:00am at Hurley Funeral Home on June 11, 2010, Pastor Curt McCallister will officiate, visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Burial will be at Mason City Cemetery.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials may be left to Illini Central High School Girl's Basketball Team.
