Lyle E. Marriott (1928-2008) Lyle E. Marriott, 80, formerly of San Jose, died at 7:10am, November 29, 2008 in Williamsville. He was born August 25, 1928 the son of Frank and Ina M. (Guinther) Marriott in Dwight, IL. He married Shirley L. Moore on April 20, 1973 in Pekin. She died November 13, 2007. Survivors are four daughters: Diana (Charlie) Costa of Williamsville, Terry Mathes of Lincoln, Brenda (Mark) Flynn of Atlanta, Jena (Randy) Ewins of Atlanta; two sons: Robert (Bob) Jones of San Jose, Randy Marriott of Bloomington; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one brother and eight sisters. Mr. Marriott retired from Caterpillar; he was a member of the UAW Local 974, Masonic Temple, served in the US Air Force and US Navy. Services will be December 3, 2008 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin following a two hour visitation held at Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose. Visitation will be from12-2. Rev. Allen Payne will officiate. Memorials may be left to American Lung Association. Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose is in charge of arrangements.
