Marcia Beth Barrett

1949 - 2011

Marcia Beth Barrett, 61, of Havana, passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield at 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. She was born October 10, 1949 in White Hall, IL to Kenneth and Dorothy (Hudson) Stone. She married Jim Barrett on August 14, 1976.

Mrs. Barrett is survived by her husband, Jim of Havana, two daughters, Tammie Lowman of Riverside, CA, Lori (Brad) Hull of Mason City and Jimmie (Hillary) Barrett of Havana as well as six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Linda (Logan) Stone Tracy of Havana. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill Stone and daughter, Joanna Embry.

Mrs. Barrett enjoyed playing Bunko with her friends in Havana. She was a member of the Izaak Walton League and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.  She had worked as the General Manager of the Casey’s General  Store in Havana.  

Funeral services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Martin W. Liebmann Jr. will officiate.
