Margaret Lowe Elliott 1912 - 2008 Margaret L. Elliott, 96, of Havana, passed away at Havana HealthCare at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2008. She was born April 7, 1912 in Havana to George and Marion (Klinkhammer) Durdy. She married Harold Lowe on December 31, 1931 in Beardstown and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1975. She later married Ralph Elliott in 1978 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1988. Mrs. Elliott is survived by one daughter, Janis (James) McFarlin and one son, Kent (Pat) Lowe, both of Havana, and one granddaughter, Jamie Lowe of Pekin. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents and one sister. Mrs. Elliott was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Havana. She had previously worked for Milrays, Dr. Stehr, and Wolter’s Drug Store. Funeral services will be held at her church on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Fr. Phil Lewis will officiate.
