Marian L. Pottorf (1918 - 2005) Marian L. Pottorf, 87, of Mason City, IL died at her home on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 12:40 p.m. She was born on July 5, 1918 to James and Grace (LaForge) Peters in Mason City. She married Cecil R. Pottorf on April 9, 1947 in Mason City. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1986. She is survived by one son: James R. (Cathy) Pottorf of San Antonio, TX and three granddaughters: Leslie, Jamie and Allison Pottorf also of San Antonio. She was prededed in death by her husband, parents, one brother John D. Peters and one sister Jean Peters. She was a member of the Mason City United Methodist Church and the Mason City American Legion Auxillary. She was a graduate of Mason City High School. Services for Mrs. Pottorf will be held on Friday, November 11, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City with burial at the Mason City Cemetery following the services. Rev. Stephen King will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2005 also at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association
