Marie Green
(1914-2005)
Marie L. Green of Havana died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Havana Healthcare Center. She was born March 26, 1914 to William and Edith (Turney) Glick. She married Carl Green on December 24, 1941 in the state of Georgia.
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband: Carl; two sons: Donnie Green and Phil Seymoure Green both of Havana; one daughter Mary Oldham of Salisbury, Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Edith Jarrett; one sister: Betty Meyer; and brother Earl Glick.
She farmed in Mason County for many years and was the head cook for the C & IM Railroad in Havana. She was also a member of the Havana Church of the Nazarene.
Services for Mrs. Green will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2005 at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
