Marjorie L Harman (1913-2009) Marjorie L. Harman, 96, of Mason City passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Mason City Area Nursing Home in Mason City. She was born October 16, 1913 the daughter of Daniel and Lillie (Herrenknecht) Doyle in Mason City, IL. She married Merle “Jim” Harman on May 6, 1937 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death. She is survived by two children: William (Pat) Harman of Mason City and Robert (Karen) Harman of Bates City, MO. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, seventeen great and two great - great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters. Mrs. Harman was a cook for Robertson Café, Mason City High School, and a Dietician for ALMH. She retired from the State of Illinois. She was a member of the Mason City Christian Church in Mason City, and also a member of Home Extension, Women’s Club and the Women’s Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 30, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday. Pastor Joe Briseno will officiate. Burial will be at Mason City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mason City Area Nursing Home.
