Marjorie M. Sisney
1921 - 2011

Marjorie M. Sisney, 90, of Havana, passed away at Mason District Hospital in Havana at 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011. She was born March 22, 1921, in Havana, to George Hollis and Olivia (Tunnel) England. She married Norman K. Chester in 1949. She later married John J. Sisney in 1966 in Havana and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1978.
Mrs. Sisney is survived by one step-son Tom (Jill) Sisney of Mandeville, LA, two step-grandchildren as well as two nieces, many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Theodore “Ted” England and two sisters, Ethel Oettle and Lottie Boone.
Mrs. Sisney was employed by the US Government, the National Labor Relations Board in Ablequerque, NM and later by the Federal Highway Administration in Springfield, IL. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Havana, Chapter Y, PEO Sisterhood, Eastern Star and Mason District Hospital Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Sidney Davis will officiate.
