Mary Patricia "Pat" Coddington, 89, of Springfield, formerly of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on February 8, 1922 in Kalispell, Montana to Dr. Hugh E. and Lotetta Reiman Houston.

She married Clyde W. "Wally" Coddington on March 1,1947. The couple spent the next several years in numerous places in the U.S. and foreign countries, while Clyde was an USAF officer. In their retirement years they lived on Lake Petersburg. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker. She attended Kalispell schools, College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota and University of Idaho.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Hugh E. Houston, sisters Gretchen Chase and Virginia Gay and nephew George Gay.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Ginger Lopez of New Jersey.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Camp Bulter National Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded.
