Mary Lacey

(1929-2011)

Bath, IL – Mary Lacey, 81, of Bath, IL passed away at 9:05 pm Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Havana Healthcare Center. She was born June 25, 1929 in Elmeno, WI, the daughter of Irvin and Mary Steoberl Pearson. She married James Lacey, June 27, 1953 in Havana and he died Dec. 1, 1991.

Mrs. Lacey was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Havana, The Illinois rabbit breeder's association, was Bath township assessor for many years and loved to play music.

She is survived by three daughters; Susan Kay (Dean) Snyder of Elizaville, IN, Diana Todd of Chandlerville, IL and Janice (Rick) Blakeley of Bath, IL; one son Jon (Susan) Lacey of Havana, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister. Marge Pearson of Milwaukee, WI and one brother, Irv Pearson of Colorado Springs, CO.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana conducted by Fr. David Whiteside. Burial will follow in the Bath Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Wednesday (from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm). Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Midwest Affiliate or the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
