Mary Moore

(1914 - 2010)

Petersburg, IL - Mary Leo Moore, age 96, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Menard Convalescent Center. 

She was born July 13, 1914 in Gradyville, KY to James C. and Ania Kemp Reliford.   She married Paul S. Moore on December 12, 1931 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  He passed away March 17, 2000.  Her husband, Paul, daughter Cozette (Don) Campbell, one granddaughter, two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Paul and Leo farmed in Menard County most of their lives. Leo was also employed at Robbins Department Store for many years.

Surviving are two sons, Bob (Sharon) Moore of Petersburg, Paul J. (Donna) Moore of Vero Beach, Florida,  one daughter Kathryn (Gerald) Nissen of Greenview, brothers J. C. Reliford of Sellersburg, IN and Leonard Reliford of Columbia, KY, and one sister, Lorena Bennett, of Springfield.  Also surviving are ten grandchildren 22 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Petersburg with Reverend Bill Sexton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. 

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Petersburg or Menard Convalescent Center, Petersburg.
