Mary June Ogle

1920 - 2011

Mary June Ogle, 91, of Havana, passed away at Havana Health Care Center at 7:32 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011. She was born March 23, 1920 in Charleston, IL to Michael and Ruth (Kellogg) Dowling. She married Roy A. Ogle July 22, 1939 in Henderson, KY. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1984.

Mrs. Ogle is survived by one daughter, Sue (Larry) Smith of Havana, three grandchildren, Todd Turner of Springfield, Jamie Turner Behrends of Jacksonville and Nathan Turner of Havana as well as six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother.

Mrs. Ogle was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Charleston, IL, Order of the Eastern Star, Coles County Women’s Farmer’s Group, Business and Professional Women and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She had worked for the Illinois Department of Public Aid for 10 years and then was Deputy Circuit Clerk of Coles County, IL.

Funeral services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston, IL at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Sidney Davis will officiate.
