Mary Summers 1924 - 2008
Mary Summers, 84, of Petersburg, died on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 6:20 pm at Menard Convalescent Center. She was born on October 6, 1924 in Mason County, IL to Osby and Della Trower McGee. Mary retired from the Department of Mental Health for the state of Illinois. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Mike) Willis of Petersburg; a grandson, David (Jennifer) Willis of Greenview; three great grandsons, Ethan, Owen, and Austin Willis of Greenview; and a sister, Laura Morrison of Petersburg. Her parents preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Paulʼs Evangelical Free Church. Graveside services will be on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pastor Dan Roseberry will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association or Animal Protective League of Springfield. Online memorials may be made at www.hurleyfh.com. |
