Maude M. Furkin (1915-2005) Maude M. Furkin, 90, of Lincoln, IL died at 9:45 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2005 at the Maple Ridge Care Centre in Lincoln. She was born September 10, 1915 in Green Co., Kentucky to Zacary Taylor and Cora S. (Wright) Ervin. She married Joseph Howard Furkin on October 5, 1935 in Green County, KY. He died on March 22, 1968.
She is survived by two sons: Howard “Ted” Furkin of Mesa, AZ and R.D. “Don” (Barbara) Furkin of Peoria Heights, IL; 10 Grandchildren; 19 Great-Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, three sisters and two sons.
She was a member of the Mason City Assembly of God Church. She worked for 28 years at the State of Illinois State Hospital in Lincoln, IL as a nurse’s aide.
Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City on Wednesday November 23, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation two hours prior. Rev. Dustin Fulton will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Mason City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Mason City Assembly of God Church. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements
